Dr. Ardie Walser has dedicated his life to public education and community service. Dr. Walser has made significant contributions to the Teaneck community and beyond.
Dr. Walser is an Associate Dean of Engineering at the City College of New York, where he has been instrumental in shaping the future of countless engineering students. His academic credentials and professional achievements are a testament to his commitment to education and excellence.
Since joining the Teaneck Board of Education in 2005, Dr. Walser has served with distinction, including in his role as Board President. His leadership has been marked by a focus on improving educational outcomes, fostering a supportive learning environment, and advocating for the needs of all students.
In 2003, driven by his passion for public education, Dr. Walser co-founded the Math Adventures and Word Play (MAWP) program. This church-based initiative provides free tutoring in mathematics, reading and writing to over 150 students across Bergen County. MAWP’s mission is to bridge the achievement gap and create a culture where learning is seen as “cool.” Dr. Walser’s role as Director of MAWP underscores his unwavering commitment to community service and educational equity.
